For the past 25 years, my pastel roomscapes (interiors) have portrayed the quiet tranquility of the domestic scene and daily life. Light and atmosphere create the warmth and intimacy in my work, inspired by home, bed and breakfasts, and historic hotels.
These interiors as well as other subjects have been recognized nationally and internationally and have been included in several important invitational exhibitions (Butler Institute of American Art, Abend Gallery…) and featured in several major art magazines (American Artist, Pastel Journal, Artist’s Magazine…). Having attained the highest honors in the Pastel Society of America and International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS), I have been very active in promoting the status of pastel, having been for 12 years Vice-President of IAPS, the umbrella organization of all the pastel societies worldwide and giving workshops and talks on the subject.
