Brenda Delle

Brenda Delle’s art encompasses a variety of animal and human life done with lots of line and color. The majority of her work is in pastel. However recently, she has focused on pen and ink drawings of race horses and brightly colored Polish chickens.

The race horses are created on racing programs from drawings or photographs done at the Fairgrounds Race Track. The drawings express the excitement and movement of the races and scenes around the track.

She often refers to her pastels of the Polish chickens as the Jazzy Chickens. The Polish chickens are a special breed often raised as pets. They definitely have attitude on which she enjoys focusing.

She has studied at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art and completed Master Courses with William Arthur Herring at Cloudcroft, NM in addition to numerous workshops with nationally known pastel and oil painters. She is a juried member of the Degas Pastel Society which has international membership.

Her work has been exhibited in France at the Festival International du Pastel sponsored by the Societe des Pastellistes de France, the Georges Gallery at Country Day School in Metairie, LA and the Millbrook Gallery in Picayune, MS. Her work is owned by collectors from coast to coast.
